You see people walking their dogs here all the time.
We have a puppy and enjoy letting him meet the other dogs around the neighborhood. There are dangerous people mixed in the neighborhood, along with some good people. Crime is bad in this area. Bad traffic at 8th ave and Wedgwood intersection.
They are making some changes for that soon though. Up and coming neighborhood. Somewhat close to the highway which can be loud depending on where you live. Definitely some crime issues. Visitor 3y ago. Property values continue to increase at high rates. Downtown seems to get closer and closer everyday with the Sounds Stadium build down the block and around the corner. Traffic generally smooth ". It is a very friendly city.
I wouldn't mind living here. Lots to do and lots of construction going on. Can walk to east Nashville restaurants with more restaurants and locating to the neighborhood. Gender Identity. Most apartment and condo buildings have dog runs and there are waste bags and waste cans within easy reach. I like living her anyway.
There is a good community. I would recommend. Some areas are safer than others. Be aware street by street case. Hancock is a pretty good street. Make sure kids know emergency protocols. Otherwise it is a safe cute neighborhood, very diverse ". Most families opt for private school if you can afford it. Be aware that tornadoes do hit East Nashville. I used to drive an hour each way bc of traffic! Cars are broken into and there are not many people living here yet but this area will no doubt get built up with condos soon.
