I found the servers really nice, the atmosphere is bizzare, but not bothersome, unfortunately the sushi is way below average. I wanted to like this place because it is so close, have been there a few times, but the sushi just isn't up to par. When you walk into Ariake Sushi, you'd think you're in a disco. The decor is tacky! I am a big fan of sushi and I've tried a lot of Japanese reastaurants.

This restaurant is like another sushi boat with tacky decor. The sushi is not fresh, but service was friendly. Ariake is a good source of tasty food at a reasonable price. The feel is very fun and loose! The waiters have been known to do things that make dining more fun. Very non-traditional: Watch out if there's a birthday -- Lights out, smoke on, noise-maker and sake shots!

My order was not big so there's no excuse. It was 2 simple rolls with no modifications. All together what should have been enjoyable is. I've been going to Ariake since they first opened up about 20 years ago.
