There are good schools, parks and friendly neighbors. Near highway, downtown, and north suburbs. Been living here for two years. All went on to great colleges and beyond.

East to walk to el and multiple bus lines for commute downtown. Many restaurants are also dog friendly. I would guess that most people in north center like dogs but there are also some wild cats that are very friendly. Dog owners may be jealous of all the happy cats.

Lots of dogs nearby to play with if your dog is friendly! Some parks and areas for them as well. Most dog owners are friendly. Our children play with many of the kids on the block. Summers are filled with riding your bike on the sidewalks, kids playing with chalk and water balloon fights. A highlight of our summer is the block party. We invite friends with their kids and the children play from day till night. One of the best schools in town, with great principle and teachers.

I have pretty easy access to highways and Lake Shore Drive. Commutes within the city are easy with access to multiples forms of public transportation. Gentrification has taken away all the friendly neighbors though. No one has time for being neighborly. Plus excellent schools!!!!
