My son is getting great grades but isn't learning anything at all.
There are so many things my son should have learned by now and hasn't because most of the teachers are lazy. Only a couple of the teachers communicated with me about my son's problems. He rarely brings any homework home and many times they watch movies in the classroom not educational films. So if you don't care if your kid learns anything and still gets good grades, then this is the school to be.
Obviously this school doesn't care about the students only about passing them. I do have to add Mr. Lozada is a great teacher, but that's it. Parent Review 9y ago. Ocean View Hills School. I don't recommend it. Maybe it is just the teacher that put a bad taste in my mouth. I'm sure others have had good experiences. I haven't. I applied for my daughter to attend a charter school and I really hope she gets in.
Parent Review 2y ago. San Ysidro High School. My son is a sophomore at San Ysidro High and he is thriving! He is taking all AP or Honors classes and has a 4. This school is great, the resources available to students are beyond my expectations. The principal is very involved and cares about the success of students and the school. I feel that the class work and homework and tests my son is getting is putting him on track for university level work and I know he will be well prepared when he graduates.
There are many opportunities for extracurricular activities such as sports and clubs. I get his grades daily for everything, tests, homework, and projects.
Teachers are effective and staff is friendly. Parent Review 3y ago. Vista Del Mar. No reviews available for this school. Check out schools near Santa Sofia. Neighborhood Overview. Otay Mesa. See Local Highlights. Neighborhood stats provided by third party data sources.

June 17, Dear Parishioners, On June 15th, the California Department of Public Health provided updated guidance pertaining to state and county regulations for the pandemic. In response to the latest news, Bishop McElroy sent a letter to all priests in the diocese, inviting us to share these guidelines with our parishioners. In his letter, Bishop McElroy provided the following updates: All of the restrictions on capacity and spacing for worship and all limitations on meetings and social activities are lifted as of today June 17, Masks will be optional, recognizing that the CDC recommends the practice of wearing masks for those who have not yet been vaccinated.
Distribution of the Eucharist will resume on the tongue and will continue in the hand. The reintroduction of the communion cup will be determined sometime in the future. Because there is still no vaccine for children, those in formation processes under the age of fourteen should continue to wear masks, as will our students in Catholic schools.
It is recommended that non-family members bringing Eucharist to the sick should be vaccinated. The dispensation from the normal obligation to attend Sunday Mass will end on July 1 st of this year. I want to thank you all for your support, and I greatly appreciate your patience during this challenging time. I know we missed many things during this time, such as our social gatherings and being able to celebrate Mass inside the church, but we made the best of a difficult situation, of course, with your help and cooperation.
Please know that I am thankful to you all and am encouraged by your support.
